This collection was born from travel and encounters with artists living across Lebanon.
Over time, it became more than a gathering of artworks. It became a record of memory, continuity, and cultural transmission across generations shaped by movement, fracture, resilience, and reinvention.
Lebanese art holds something particular. It carries memory, longing, beauty, and the kind of honesty that only comes from people who have stayed close to their culture and their sense of who they are, through everything their country has asked of them.
The artists represented here differ greatly in style, medium, and vision. Yet they share a common relationship to the land and to the cultural layers that have shaped it. Their works speak of memory and forgetting, beauty and loss, permanence and fragility. They reflect a place that has continuously absorbed civilisations, languages, faiths, migrations, conflicts, and renewal, while preserving a distinct cultural voice.
The light found in these encounters belongs to more than one collection. It belongs to everyone who carries Lebanon with them.
The website presents selected works, documents the voices of the artists in their own words, and creates a lasting archive for future generations.
Light is never static. It is transmitted. It moves from one generation to the next, from one artist to another, from one work to the person who encounters it.
